SV Leaks and/or Rumours Thread

So will Tauros have a regional form? It would make sense with what Khu had said.
He who knows which Pokémon of 1 gen will have a cross evo.

And could the Dugtrio-like Pokémon be the "RFake"?
Yes. But then, if RF Tauros evolves, it is not a cross gen evo. If the semantic is respected.

Maybe the geyser-like pokemon. But if this is a RFake, it is not really a new concept.

Leak:
Not many clothing options. Because they are all variations of school outfits (quite expected considering the last trailer).

Apparently it seems that all outfits are school variations, although there are lots of options in regards of glasses, hats, hairs and face.

I did think it was a possibility. Although it kind of makes sense, it’s still something I don’t fully comprehend, expecially considering that they could at least unlock non school options in the postgame.

It’s also possible, though, that they’d add more options in those coming months, although I wouldn’t bet on it.

Indeed!

So I wonder who the cross gen evo will be. I hope a new evolution of Primeape.

They might as well have not even included character customization at all. Looks like we won't ever see it in a meaningful capacity until the next Nintendo console.

He clarified the post; It's a new Pokémon, but similar to Dugtrio. Whatever that means. But interesting, nonetheless.

Really want to see new visuals, to be honest. Whether from an official source or not.

Similar to Dugtrio could mean it's a Pokemon made up of three parts. So like Dugtrio, Magneton, Dodrio etc.

Apparently it seems that all outfits are school variations.

That's a major bummer since I'm really not a fan of these school uniform outfits. That's such a weird decision. Even in Legends you weren't forced to wear the Galaxy Team outfit, even though by all accounts you probably should have been if you were working for them.

Khu used the fake Diglett form to talk about regional fakes. So it's clear this Dugtrio is what Khu was referring to. As I've said before regional fake can point to another Mimikyu situation: a pokemon that pretends to be Dugtrio in appearence but that is not it or a form/evolution of it.

That makes sense. However, same as I said earlier, I don't see how it is a new concept. Because Khu stated RFakes were a new concept.

Maybe these mons have some particular effect in battles.

From Resetera:

'OK the leaker just said that the Jigglypuff/Amoonguss forms are actually differently named pokemon. This could be the regional fake thing that Khu is referring to?'

Imposters, here we goooooooo! Especially with the new drop about a Dugtrio-like Pokémon.

He answered my question ahahahahahah

They are different Pokémon. So are they ancestors? yesterday said that Jigglypuff is like an "ancient form". So I don't think it's "RFake".

I think the wording was vague enough to be somewhat like 'ancient' forms, but different; As in: They're different forms of something. Imposter-Pokémon seem more likely, in my opinion. Not time-based or anything.

EDIT: When asked if they're ancient-forms, the leaker said 'maybe'. So, it's vague enough, making me think it has nothing to do with future/past, to be honest. If there were future-forms, he would've seen them, as version-exclusive Pokémon are used by NPC's most of the times.

Hot take: Convergent evolution, here we gooooo!

Pokemon is really trying out interesting things this gen and they deserve credit for that.
If all of this is true, yes, very much so.

The combination of new evolutions, regional forms (+regional evolutions), convergent evolutions (the 'fakes/imposters') and the new not-so-bursty-y mechanic feels good.

I might be reserving a spot for 'Fake-'Mongus' (Among-Us?) in my team if this is indeed the way things will go down.

Trying to connect everything... What if:

There is the gimmick of STAB as we now know it. Used by most important characters. Including GL + E4 + Champion.
Types between GL and E4 don't overlap, that makes 12 types represented.

A new concept is the flag/racing mechanic. Khu also said we could guess the types used by the flag thing. Flags represented by the five point star. That makes 5 types including Fire.

12 + 5 + 1 champion specialist = 18 types, all types represented in this game via different type of challenges.

Time warp is a thing. The "RFakes" are time warped Pokemon. Following some sort of evolutive convergence principle like someone theorized. And the reverse principle for "future" forms.

Pure speculation I wanted to share (with in bold the actual leaked info).

I don’t know what I’m more disappointed about. No new eeveelution or only school uniforms for customization. With customization, at least I would say we can expect it to be back to normal with the next generation, but PLA’s customization was pretty limited too.

The only thing I’m regards to the supposed imposter/Rfake mons that’s apparently they don’t/can’t evolve according to the leaker. Maybe it’s to limit the amount designs from getting too chaotic since they’re adding this new thing on top of regional variants?

He just answered my question. Apparently the Dugtrio-like Pokémon doesn't have the same concept as Jigglypuff and Amoonguss.
