Kalyani looked around the area for a moment. "Um... there's some markers somewhere around you guys. One is... 16km due northeast. Follow the river."

Delilah had her bow and arrow prepped and ready if need be.

"I guess we're in this whether we wanted to be or not," she commented.

"Dammit." Duncan muttered as he realised that he'd ended up in some park-y place, probably there to fight more monsters. "Memo to self, always, always have your tonfas on you." He said to himself as he realised it was just his fists again. "OK, then guys. I guess we go do this."

"This shit is so messed up," April muttered. "I don't get why such an old library would have technology like.... like this."

"You'd think a lot of it would be archaic, but..." Kaly mused to herself as she watched the group advance.

A bit of trekking for the group would lead the group toward a camp. This camp seemed to be ransacked, with no one left in the area. However, there were a number of weapons there - all militant grade, from small arms to rifles.

"Are those guns...?" Kaly whispered. Then, she remembered the group talking about their need for weaponry. "You... might want to pick those up," she said to the group.

Xin simply chose to stick with her blade, narrowing her eyes. Something wasn't right with the park - she could feel it. Anticipating something akin to last time, she sought to extend her senses, clearing her mind.

Barry eventually chose a rifle. He hadn't shot one in years but his father's lessons about hunting game still stuck with him. He just hoped everything came back to him quick.

Hopper picked up a simple handgun, being hand guns were the only kinds he had ever shot before. "This will work so much better," he said. "Do you think the creatures can use these, because if so we should remove the bullets from what we're not using."

"Capable intelligence of these sentient beings is a possibility, of course... It may be the safest course of action to disable the unused firearms." Xin commented, agreeing with Hopper.

"Okay, Mr. Dunkin Donuts... riddle me this. What kind of fuck sack knows how to use a gun right off the bat?" April asked, clearly irritated at Duncan. "Or owns a sword? Who are you people?"

"Self-defense is not an uncommon art to practice," Xin countered, "especially when you live in the more dangerous part of the slums. Alone."

"A sword though?" April incredulously asked. Letting out a frustrated sigh, she simply began to walk around the room. Kaly could handle them.

Xin shook her head and muttered something in Chinese that sounded suspiciously like 'millennials'.
