"Can I really keep going with this?" Solo thought to himself. "If something does go bad then they could get hurt. Or worse." He mused as he continued to wander the halls.

***

"Why'd you have to do that?" Burse asked Yamato.
"Because if he keeps going like this he's going to wind up dead. You nearly died not too long ago."
"But I'm fine. We're all fine. Of course adventures are dangerous, that's why you have friends to help you through them."
"You can't be serious?"
"Nngh, fine then!" The little reptile shouted as he ran off down the halls.

"......Apparently, so. Seems that Realgam's taken new ventures lately. The wealthy tend to experiment with this kinda stuff nowadays." noted Ariel. "Hmm. I've gotten tired of playin' Mario Kart." said Eden, "We have a few other games though, such as Smash Bros n' stuff. You wanna kill some time n' relax, eh Gate?"

"Yeah, I'd like that," answers Gate with a smile. "The, uh, excitement from the tournament took a lot out of me."

-

I eye Commander Snow suspiciously. I'd seen both how forceful he could be and how nervous he could get under pressure, but now it appears as though he has a side that wants to help people. "Hmm...if you wanna help, you could start by helping me repair my airship." I gesture to the wrecked vehicle with giant dents and a gaping hole in its surface. "And maybe without the sabotage, like your minion tried pulling that one time?"

"Okay. Can I have the blueprints then?", Snow asked MP, as he handed out tools and parts which hopefully, has no sabotage or anything that can destroy MP's trust with him. It is expected that the process won't take long, so the two worked on it.

...

I was sleeping soundly at my hotel room, until the noises of Eden, Ariel, and Gate woke me up with their plan to play Super Smash Bros or any other game. I grabbed some of my stuff, exited my hotel room, and knocked at the door where the noises came from. The door opened, and I told them if I could join in too because I'm too bored thanks to the tournament draining me too, like Gate's reason.

...

"I have a bad feeling about Plumeria, even if Team Skull is no longer a thing...", muttered Lusamine as she lost the bet. "Well, it's a bet that I've lost, and she could enjoy all her stuff. Hope she doesn't get poisoned by a Nihilego..."

"......For a second I thought we're dead meat..." muttered Ariel. "Hey, sure why not?" said Eden, "We're havin' tons of fun 'ere! Grab a controller, make yourself at home~"

"Hey, can I join in the repairs?" Max asked. "Just tell me what I should do where, and I'll do it."
As the three of them work on the airship, Max walked over to MegaPod.
"Are you still hunting the Shiny Victini? If so, why are you interested in getting it?"

As we all repair the green aircraft, I answer Max's question. "Well, at first I was just enticed by how rare it was. I figured that I could trade it for practically anything I wanted."
"Boy, did ya..." mutters Snow passively.
"But truth be told, I think I may have become quite attached to the little guy." I look up at my Xurkitree lifting a piece of the airship's outer wall into place for Dhelmise to hammer in. "Man, with how hard it is for me and my team to maintain possession of Victini for mere minutes...it's some responsibility."
"EXTERIOR PANELS ALL IN POSITION," Xurkitree buzzes for me and Max to hear.
"Thanks, Xurkitree," I reply. "We couldn't have been out here doing the repairing in the darkness without your light."
"Can you two really understand that thing?" Snow questions.

"So if I climbed into that thing right now and pressed some buttons, would I get Pokéspeak powers, too?" Austen challenged.
"Have you ever been a Pokémon before?" I retort.
"Uhh..."
"The chamber works by targeting specific groups of cells with temporal energy and mutating them to a prior state. For example, I reverted the language center of my brain to when I was a Fennekin before, so that's how I-"
"YOU WERE A FENNEKIN?!"
"...yeah. The cellular reversion chamber probably has other applications, but that's the gist of it," I respond. "You were never really involved in the science that went on in your company, were you, Snow?"

"I...kinda...was a similar case," Max said, awkwardly. "It's a...rather long story, to be perfectly honest. While I could tell you, I'd much rather not, because there's absolutely no way you'd believe any of it."
After he said those words, he whispered to MegaPod, "I really appreciate it if you don't tell him either."

"I'm picking Charizard, 'cause fire.", I say, as the two siblings almost argued. "What character are you going to pick?", I continued.

...

"As far as I can remember... it's here in Newmoon Island. Also, I am suspecting something about the Darkrai too, because it seems much more powerful than it possibly would when I got hit by one Dark Void...", Snow said, as they finish building the ship parts. They're doing a pretty good job with the airship, with Commander Austen trying his best not to break MP's trust. However, its not the Victini's position that they should know, but its purpose on why it appeared.

"I'll be Lemmy Koopa this time! Ariel's just gonna stay as Cloud. I think Gate said he was gonna change to ROB?" Gate simply nodded. "Alright, we'll just randomize the stage here...."

Me and WHISPUL continue further. We soon arrive in a large room. This cave, whatever its title is, if it has one...the flora of the cave is different than the previous dimension I was in. Much of it glows some color, often even the flowers. The same can be said about the fungi, and both them and plants also tend to grow in strange shapes here. This room in particular...it's absolutely cloaked in strange life that's somehow managed to survive in the cold location.

"There it is..." whispers WHISPUL, pointing towards a huge METAL_GATE at the back of the room.

> APPROXIMATELY 21 FEET TALL AND 27 FEET WIDE
> NO SORT OF OPENING DEVICE OR CONTROL PANEL LOCATED ANYWHERE NEARBY...
"Psst...mayor can open that gate, with some device, but nobody else can. Look, see?" WHISPUL points to a nearby area of the icy cave wall. Wait, is that a small opening? "Kekeke...miss Ninetales gets in another way...." WHISPUL waves for me to go first, and I do so, switching to a vertical flying position in order to fit through the small pathway carved into the rock.

"...brr...I'm worried, buddy. What's down here? Eugh, what a waste of my time, Suria..." she complains. "Hey, for all I know, it's a new part of the cave I've never been inside before...w-what a scary thought....I...I hope we can at least find some rare...rare stuff...kekeke..."

From within this eerie, chilly metallic cavern lies some...... intriguing fauna, which was littered all over the place. From above the area were these ambiguous, implicitly organic growths sprouting from the rooftop alongside the typical stalactites and icicles, holding still from what appears to be roots that seem to pulsate a few minutes or so. A few of growths themselves seemed to be of a whitish to yellow coloring coloring, and they were rather bright in coloration in a way that indicates that its covered in fluid, overall giving these growths an image akin to that of teeth. Other than that, there were these fleshy, pulsating purplish bulges that were around the shapes of uvulas and/or tongues, with wrinkles resembling that of brains, except with veins that seem to change from cyan colors to yellowish streaks that seem to pass from and into the growths that resembled teeth. There wasn't much else to describe said bulges, but what really made these tumors stand out is that while they pulsate constantly, when one stares at them for about a few minutes or so, the bulging seems to slow down as white bubbles with dark spots; presumably eyes of some sort, slowly emerge from within the wrinkles. These 'eyes' flash colors upon staring at the witness before immediately retracting out as the bulge then seems to continue its 'business'. Whether this implies sentience or not remains to be seen. As for the walls of the cave, some form of reddish moss seems to grow from bizarre holes that are small enough for only Pokemon like Joltik to crawl into. This plant appears to have spread rather quickly, covering both stalagmites, boulders, and some glowing, transparent mushrooms that appear to grow withered and weak upon even a slight touch to the infecting clutter of plants. The moss itself was remarkably squalid, as not only was it disconcertingly sticky and wet for a plant, but a horrid smell, one akin to that of corpse flowers, oozes from even far away. Not to mention, it, like the pulsating tumors, was constantly pulsating, but unlike the bulges, it moves like a small wave passing through multiple leaves at a time. The moss itself reacts to anything that touches it by having its leaves curl towards it while spewing an odd pinkish moisture like a spray. Neither of these reactions seem to actually do any harm whatsoever, but just the feeling of self-aware leaves curling up to your body while spewing a strange liquid makes one shiver. The two explorers explored this strange cave brimming with eerie life and dripping with water and other liquids, taking in the revolting scenery as they walk, shivering in both fear and severe cold. The two stopped as they heard what appears to be voices from within the vast area alongside some slight footsteps. "G-g-giiiii!!" cried the voice of a child. "T-this place is so creepy and disgusting! M-Mistress wanted us to go here?" "Bli-hi-hi! Aw, calm yourself, kiddo!" replied a much more jovial, jokey voice. "The only thing that ever disgusts me is seeing our master growl and grumble at us like a angry kid who stomps his feet at the site of lost candy. Soon we'll be in for a lovely crowd of spectators, clamoring at us mindlessly at our triumphant victory!" Whispul and Starmie, after a long and exhausting trek through the smelly area, witness two cone-shaped silhouttes, one floating through telekinetic abilities and with a bunch of limbs, one walking with limbs as short as Whispul's, come to view at last, going opposite of the path they were taking. The duo seemed to be more focused talking to themselves than actively watching the area "Not if we get tangled up in these piles of flesh! O-Our mistress is gonna be so mad at us if we s-screw this objective up!" "Your disease of whining is one that would make even surgeons crying out for a prayer, desperately asking for the most secure earplugs this side of the universe. Maybe I should treat you to a lovely supplement of calming hypnosis and mold your wobbling child self into a crazed, musclebound wrestler like last time." "Your metaphors are.... are..... I couldn't even keep up with yo-Gi-gi-GIII?! Hey, do you see that?!" cried the walking cone as he realized that he and his squiddy accomplice was nearly face-to-face with the other duo. "Ah, here's some new customers: a wobbling pair of pinwheels and a blob-shaped baby-faced child with a most adorable whimper!" Whispul seemed to back off a little from hearing that statement. "Oh my, did that sting quite a bit? Don't get too embarrassed, little mouse. Everyone's eyes and voices immediately pop just a bit whenever they are exposed to my exquisite tongue's venom. They pop again when they realize just what they are in for! Bli-hi-hi!" The Starmie turned towards the timid cone creature to scan it a bit.

"I-It's the Normal Type Whisper Pokemon Whismur and t-the Water-Psychic Type Mysterious Pokemon Starmie! I think they're after us! The latter is much more of a threat since it has high base stats in Speed and Special Attack, but you are a Dark-Psychic type, so you have the slight type advantage here! We'll focus on the Normal-type Whismur first however, and-"

"My, my. Show some respect to our audience, little boy! Not only do they seem more confused if anything, but you can't just expect any intruder to be a cantankerous little termite. Besides, no one wants a monologue so long that they'd sleep through the show! Let them relax first, let them take nice breaths. Let's settle with introducing them to us first. Hello there, I am pleased to meet newcomers here. You can call me the dashing hypnotist Aolanak! The splendid assistant to the beautiful ice maiden! Herald of joy to come and spread within the minds of many! This shivering fellow right next to you is my friend, the most childish and modest Sorbita the Snorunt! The little brains of the operation! In his view, the multi-tailed maiden of ice is like a most benevolent and mystical mother!"
"Gi-gih! You're m-making me blush!" "Like a ripening strawberry as usual, little Sorbita. Anyway, what brings you here in this private area? Has curiosity entangled your common sense like a parasite?

I monitor the two strange creatures that have just revealed themselves. The ICE-TYPE, SORBITA. And the DARK_PSYCHIC cephalopod creature AOLANAK...they're servants of ICE_NINETALES? Go figure, luck would bring two of the lady's servants straight to me and WHISPUL to take care of. Although...they do not currently appear hostile. Ugh, fine. I'll talk to them via telepathy as usual. I have a feeling this won't be our only encounter with either one...

"Hey, hey...my name is Whispul..." WHISPUL mumbles, walking back to me. "We're looking for your boss. You got any idea where she is..."

"Gigi...gi-gigie...she's u-up ahead somewhere. Who knows. We won't be bumping into her, if t-that's what your wondering. We are here to scout d-deeper into the cave, to see how certain...operations are...going. V-very interesting operations, i-indeed...it's a shame I d-definitely can't sit here rambling about them to you..." responds SORBITA, apparently knowing when to stop.

I telepathically speak to all three POKEMON at once.
> UH
> MY SPECIES NAME IS STARMIE
> CAN WE TAG ALONG?

"No. Absolutely not. M-mistress would have our heads if you saw what t-"

"Oh my, hasty Sorbita." interjects AOLANAK. "Bli-hi-hi...like the nasty little snowcone you are, innocent in appearance but sour in taste..."

"I thought you liked sour food. Was I wrong?" mutters a confused SORBITA.

"Uh, well...t-that's not the point, nevermind." moans AOLANAK. "Where were we? Oh, yes. Your silly little decision to ban our audience from coming down here with us. That's actually pretty annoying. Why should I care...bli-hi-hi-hi-bihi-bi! Why should I care?" The psychic creature waves one of his tentacles for us to follow, and we do.

"Psst...the Snorunt's a bit kooky, but seems something resembling normal...but what's with that Inkay?" whispers WHISPUL to me personally as the other two walk about six feet ahead of us. "...is this safe?"

I send another telepathic message with WHISPUL as the only recipient.
> WHO KNOWS
> BUT SHINY_VICTINI MIGHT BE THERE
> THIS DUNGEON IS INTERESTING ANYWAY
"Kekeke...damn star...you sure are into those scans of yours..." giggles WHISPUL. "Just don't screw this up for either of us, okay? This is not what boss ordered...it's not what boss ordered, it's...it's...it's something entirely different, and..." She sighs. "Whatever. I guess you're strong...for a Pokemon....is that enough? Hey, I don't know...maybe we'll find out later....later...later..." She's murmuring inaudibly again, while sweating.

"...LATER DURING THIS SPELUNKING TRIP TO HELL!" screeches WHISPUL, startling me and the two creatures escorting us. The area around us shakes.

"P-please don't do that, miss Whispul." responds a nervous SORBITA.

"O-okay...I'll agree for this cavern, especially..." a worried WHISPUL looks around, seemingly concerned she accidentally attracted some sort of unwanted attention. Hearing nothing after a few seconds of silence, we continue onwards.

OOC:

I know I've been a bit less active lately, it's just exhausting writing/editing long roleplay posts sometimes. I just needed a short break. This current starmie segment in particular is really draining, but I've talked about certain plot ideas with chida and I really like where this is going. This won't be the last you see of the characters here.

for the record, Aolanak (Inkay) is chidamari's character. We're kind of sharing Sorbita (Snorunt) for now, I guess. A-Ninetales, when she's introduced, will count as my character. Though I bet chida might end up using her a lot too. That's fine if he does, since she's associated with aolanak.

about this planet...I really don't wanna say too much just yet. It's an interesting planet. Not all the locations are as scary as this current dungeon, obviously...

...on a more minor note, I use size five font for whispul's screeching text. Instead of the usual size four. I'm hoping the difference in size is obvious enough and people aren't missing it, cuz there's very much a difference in volume between her normal yelling and her screeching. I just don't like the way bold font looks for some things.

Solo was still stewing in the halls when Burse caught up. "Chaaaaar." The little reptile said as he tugged on Solo's pants.
"Ah, just go away. Probably don't really wanna follow me around anyway. Seeing as how I nearly got you killed and all."
"Chaaaa-aaaaar!" Burse cried, louder this time.
"Alright, fine. Where are you taking me?" He asked after giving in and following the Pokemon.

***

"Hmm, see you found him." Yamato said as they came back to the lobby of the tower.
"Char! Charmander!" Burse said to Yamato, a serious look on his face.
"Look, you want to tell him? Fine, do it yourself." Yamato said as he opened the same sort of group telepathy he used with Max and his Pokemon.
"What are you talking about?"? Burse asked.
"Uhh, Burse, you're talking." Solo said to ease the reptile's confusion.
"Hmm? Oh." He said, and after a brief pause, went straight to telepathically shouting. "You can't stop hunting down the Victini! It's all I've ever known you wanting to do! I wanna help you go after it and find it 'cause it makes you happy! It might get dangerous, but that's why you have your friends with you, so they can help you. Like you did with me." Burse jumped up to Solo and glomped him in a big hug, which was promptly returned.
"...Thanks buddy." He then placed Burse back down onto the ground. "So, what do you say we start looking for that thing again huh?" He asked, his cheery demeanour having returned.
"You're serious." Yamato said, interrupting the scene. "You're actually f*cking serious. Despite everything that could happen to him. That could happen to you! You're still seriously going after this thing!?" He shouted at the pair of them.
"He has a point. We're all going to be there for each other, and don't forget I'll have four other Pokemon with me at any time."
"You- You're- It's just- You know what? Fine. I'd never be able to live with myself if I just let you two maniacs go off and do this by yourselves." He said as he followed the two out of the door.

Shrugging at Snow's comments about Darkrai, Max turned back to the airship, tightening another bolt. Just then, he hears some movement behind him.
"Hmm?"
When Max looks at where the sound came from, he sees MegaPod's shadow looking very different from himself.
Quietly, he tapped MP on his shoulder and pointed to the ground.
