Day 1 start

  • Hang on now, gimme just a sec.
    Hey there! Good afternoon!
So the day has finally come that you're moving to Alola!
Alola is a region made up of several islands.
That could be the reason the region is chock full of nothin' but rare Pokemon, yeah!
There's no shortage of cool Pokemon out here in Alola, either!
    Such mysterious creatures!
You find 'em all over. In the grass, in the caves, in the sky and sea...
Here in Alola we love our Pokemon, and we depend on them heaps, too.
Some of us even battle with 'em, if we call ourselves Pokemon Trainers!
10-4, good buddy! I'll let everybody out here know you're on your way!
    Sun/Moon!
Yeah, that's a name that hits you like a Thunderbolt outta the sky! Woo!
Can't wait to see you in person then, cousin!

It is now Day 1. It will end in 48 hours unless HYPER-MAJORITY occurs.
With 17 players alive, 12 are needed for HYPER-MAJORITY.

A few weeks later, in Akala Outskirts, Sun/Moon was ready to enter the Ruins of Life, where Kahuna Olivia was waiting for them. But then some punk girl appeared! She seemed like some high-ranking Team Skull member, who proceeded to introduce herself:

"So, you're the one Gladion was talking about? ...Hmph. You don't look like anything special to me. I'm Plumeria. I help keep Team Skull together. I'm like a big sister to all there numskulls. You have realized what idiots all there guys are, right? But don't you think some dummies are cute in their dumbness? You know what I mean, right? You picking on my cute, dumb brothers and sisters is really annoying me!"

The battle began in earnest, but Plumeria's Salandit, despite its Corrosion Ability, was no match for Sun/Moon's Rowlet, Doctor Hoo:

    "Phooey.
Hmmph! You're pretty strong. I'll give you that. But mess with anyone in Team Skull again, and I'll show you how serious I can get."

With Team Skull Admin Plumeria out of the way, Sun/Moon was ready to proceed for their second grand trial. The Alolan Islanders were already gaining ground against Team Skull, no longer having to worry about Plumeria's poison.

Dear CheffOfGames, you are Team Skull Admin Plumeria:
    150px-Sun_Moon_Plumeria.png
Plumeria appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon as the sole Admin of Team Skull. She is first encountered and battled at the Akala Outskirts before Olivia's grand trial, where she expresses her anger at the player for them having defeated many Team Skull Grunts. Her next appearance is in front of the Aether House on Route 15, where she will also battle the player for the second time. While the player is taking down Team Skull at Po Town, Plumeria returns to the Aether House, taking Lillie and Nebby to Aether Paradise. She makes her final main game appearance at the Ancient Poni Path, first observing the player battling multiple Team Skull Grunts, after which she asks the player to bring Guzma back after he disappeared into the Ultra Wormhole with Lusamine. She also gives them a Poisonium Z as a sign of apology.

Following the disbandment of Team Skull during the post-game, Plumeria is one of the possible Trainers who will challenge the player in a Title Defense battle at the Pokémon League, having been convinced to do so by Nanu and Molayne. In Pokémon Sun, she also appears as a Trainer at the Battle Tree.

    -Bulbapedia

You specialize in Poison-type Pokemon and give the player the Poisonium Z. As a result, you are the 1x Poisoner. Once in the game, during the night phase, you may select a player and poison them. If they are not healed by the Doctor that night or the next one, they will die at the end of the next night. Additionally, since you act as the grunts' Big Sister, you are also the Babysitter (Watcher Doctor). Once per night phase, you can select a player and attempt to protect them from attempts made at their lives as well as finding out which other players visited them that night.

You are aligned with Team Skull and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

It is now Night 1. It will end in 24 hours.

    Day 2 start

  • Soon after the battle with Plumeria, Sun/Moon cleared their second Grand Trial, visited Aether Paradise alongside Hau and Aether Branch Chief Faba, then left off for Ula'ula Island's Malie City. Upon landing there, Hau had something to say:

"Land ahoy! All right! Terra firma under foot again!
Ula'ula Island is, like, another totally different place than Melemele or Akala, huh!
    I've got an idea, Sun/Moon! Let's have a battle!
I want my Pokémon to get a deep breath of this fresh new air! Don't worry. I'll make sure both our teams are in fighting form first."

His lead was that annoying Alolan Raichu that sets up Nasty Plot and sweeps through teams, yet Doctor Hoo managed to defeat it with an astonishing flurry of super-effective Astonish attacks that all made it flinch, talk about astonishing luck. He then switched to Flareon, so Sun/Moon switched out to Washiwishi the Wishiwashi and easily defeated it. Finally, he sent out Brionne, and Doctor Hoo was sent out, emerging victorious once again.

"Bwah!! I had my breath held that whole battle!
Bwah! That battle took my breath away! I can't breathe the fresh air that way!"

    Dear DarthWolf13, you are Hau:
    170px-Sun_Moon_Hau.png
Hau is described as a big-hearted boy who quickly befriends the player once they move to the Alola region. He is the grandson of Hala, who is the Kahuna of Melemele Island, and his favorite food is malasada, a famous treat in the Alola region. One of the villagers in Iki Town, where they live, comments that as a boy, Hau had once witnessed Hala in a rage, which frightened him to the point of tears. Nothing Hala did could comfort him, which he claims is the reason why Hala is "too soft" on Hau.

Once the player has chosen a starter Pokémon, Hau will challenge the player using the starter Pokemon weak to the player's choice. Upon losing, he quickly shrugs off his defeat as he says that he is having fun. He also embarks on the Island challenge at the same time as the player, and completes the challenges at around the same pace, until at the most Sophocles's trial. Hau's happy-go-lucky attitude affects most of his early battles as he didn't mind losing, something that irritates Gladion after their first battle.

Hau joins the player on a tour in the Aether Paradise after finishing their Akala Island trials. He is shocked to hear from Lusamine that she is over forty years old, and also comments that she looks like Lillie without knowing of their connection.

When the Aether Building is raided by Team Skull, Hau manages to win a battle against a Team Skull Grunt, but says that battles he can't afford to lose aren't any fun. Before the player returns from Po Town, Hau loses a critical battle against Team Skull Admin Plumeria when she and her grunts kidnaps Lillie, and is left depressed and in doubt of his own skills because of this.

Hau joins the player and Gladion in their attempt to rescue Lillie and her Cosmog from the Aether Foundation. He is constantly irritated by Gladion's orders and lack of explaining, but manages to take down several Aether Foundation Employee with him and the player before reaching Lillie. He is surprised when Lusamine reveals that Lillie and Gladion were her children. When Lusamine attempts to open up the Ultra Beasts wormholes, Gladion orders Hau to keep Guzma busy while he deals with the recently-arrived Nihilego, but Lusamine and Guzma manages to achieve their objective and escape.

When the player is about to travel to Poni Island, Hau expresses his intention to hold back the island challenge and train himself with Hala instead, finding himself not sufficiently strong enough yet. When the player is about to enter the Pokémon League building, Hau catches up to them and challenges the player to another battle. Upon losing, Hau reaffirms his determination to get stronger, and spurs the player on for his Pokémon League challenge. The day after the player becomes the Champion, Lillie departs for Kanto without having been able to say it to the player and Hau, who is devastated by this and is left in tears after Lillie's ship has left.

Hau is one of the possible NPCs who can challenge the player for the title of Champion, implying that he has completed all his island trials. He will always be the first challenger to appear after the player has defeated the Elite Four for the second time.

    -Bulbapedia

Because you may only eat Malasadas from certified Malasada Shops, you may not be poisoned. As a result, you are Poisonproof. Any attempts to get you poisoned will fail. Additionally, because of your tendency to be loud, you have the Loud modifier. If you perform any night actions on another player, that player will know it was you who visited them. Finally, because of your dream to become strong and one day succeed your grandfather Hala as Kahuna, you are the Kahuna Backup. If any of the four Kahunas (Melemele Kahuna Hala, Akala Kahuna Olivia, Ula'ula Kahuna Nanu or Poni Kahuna Hapu) are eliminated, you inherit their powers. If they have used any limited shots of their roles, you do not inherit those shots.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

As Sun/Moon approached Malie Garden, Professor Kukui informed them that someone had stolen the jammer from Aether Paradise and using it to jam signals all over Alola. He suspects it was Team Skull.

It is now Day 2. It will end in 48 hours, unless HYPER-MAJORITY occurs.
With 15 players alive, 10 are needed for HYPER-MAJORITY.

AussieEevee VI (WolfOwl, Rainsquid, Max1996, HumanDawn, Rainbow Cloud, Elementar)
    Max1996 III (AussieEevee, Ghostly, Ereshkigal)

The adventures in Ula'ula Island continued. Sun/Moon cleared both island trials, visited the Aether House only to find out a Yungoos was stolen by Team Skull and taken to their base in Po Town, so they left for there to infiltrate them. They successfully did so, stopping the signal jammer as well in the process. But upon coming back to Aether House, Hau told them in shock that Lillie and her Cosmog, Nebby, were kidnapped!

Dear AussieEevee, you are Lillie & Nebby:
    170px-Sun_Moon_Lillie.png
    250px-789Cosmog.png
Lillie is first revealed as a mysterious girl who is central to the plot of Pokémon Sun and Moon. She assists, and is shown to live with, Professor Kukui for personal reasons. She dislikes Pokémon battles as she does not like seeing Pokémon get hurt, but loves to read.

Lillie is first seen attempting to flee the Aether Paradise three months prior to the beginning of the player's adventure, during the opening cutscene. Just when she is surrounded, she is Teleported by a mysterious force, later revealed to be the Pokémon hiding in her bag, Cosmog, which she nicknamed Nebby (Japanese: ほしぐもちゃん Hoshigumo-chan). Lillie and Nebby wash up on a beach, where they are found by Professor Burnet, who listens to Lillie's story and agrees to help her learn more about Nebby. She contacts her husband, Professor Kukui, who allows her to stay with him as his assistant.

The player first meets Lillie on the Mahalo Trail, where she watches helplessly as Nebby is being attacked by a group of wild Spearow on an unstable rope bridge. Despite not yet having a Pokémon of their own, the player steps in to protect Nebby, and is in turn assisted and recognized by Tapu Koko. Afterwards, she accompanies the player back to Iki Town, where she watches them receive their starter, and later their Z-Ring. Some time after that, she accompanies the player to Kukui's Lab and later provides them a tour of the Pokémon Center. After assisting the player at the Trainer's School, she visits Hau'oli City. After the player completes their first trial, Nebby escapes from her bag and runs off into Melemele Meadow, so the player must find it and return it back to her. After the player defeats Kahuna Hala, she goes to Akala Island alongside the player and Hau.

Throughout the player's and Hau's journey on Akala Island, Lillie mostly stays at the Tide Song Hotel in Heahea City, apparently to meet somebody there, and also in fear of Team Skull, who she saw lurking around the area. She also tells the player that, in her quest to learn more about Nebby, she would like to visit each of the ruins of Alola where the guardian deities live. She rejoins the player and Hau when Professor Kukui summons them to the Dimensional Research Lab, which conducts research into Pokémon coming from other dimensions and is headed by Professor Burnet. She and the Professor travel to the Ruins of Life to watch Kahuna Olivia and Hau battle; when Hau reminds the player that Faba of the Aether Foundation wants to see them, Lillie becomes nervous and insists on staying to watch the battle. Notably, she does not join the player and Hau in their tour of the Aether Paradise.

The reason for this is revealed much later on, while they are on Ula'ula Island: while staying at the Aether House on Route 15, Lillie and Nebby are kidnapped by Team Skull in an operation led by Plumeria, who implies that Team Skull are not the only ones who steal Pokémon; at this, Lillie goes with them willingly and quietly, while Hau is unable to defeat Plumeria to save her. Upon informing the player about this, Gladion, a Team Skull enforcer the player and Hau have encountered several times, who has warned them to ensure nothing happens to Nebby, barges in, having overheard the conversation. He takes them to the Aether Paradise, to where he claims he is certain Lillie has been brought. After raiding the facility, whose employees have now become hostile to them under the pretext that there are intruders, the player manages to enter the house and office of Lusamine, its president, where he finds Lillie trying to reason with her, finding out as well that Lillie is Lusamine's daughter, and that Gladion is her brother, who had also ran away from the Aether Paradise for similar reasons. Lusamine berates both Lillie and Gladion for leaving and stealing from her, after all the love she gave them, and shows no care for either of them.

Information the player finds in the Aether Paradise as well as Lillie and Lusamine's conversation reveal that Nebby was actually a research experiment of the Aether Foundation in its attempt to open more Ultra Wormholes across Alola and harness the power of the Ultra Beasts; knowing that the strain of this would be fatal on Nebby, Lillie had taken it from the Aether Paradise. Lusamine manages to get Nebby back, however, and forces it to open Ultra Wormholes across Alola, one of which she goes through with Guzma, the boss of Team Skull. Nebby is revealed to have evolved into Cosmoem in the process, although none of them are seemingly aware of this.

Determined to save both Nebby and her mother, Lillie joins the player on Poni Island and is given the Moon FluteS or Sun FluteM by Gladion. She undergoes a dramatic change, changing her outfit and becoming much more confident, calling it her "Z-powered form". She accompanies the player throughout the island, witnessing Hapu's appointment as Kahuna by Tapu Fini, retrieving the Sun FluteS or Moon FluteM from Exeggutor Island, going through Vast Poni Canyon, where she attempts her first "trial" by crossing a narrow bridge alone, and finally ascending the Altar of the SunneS or Altar of the MooneM, where they are directed to play the Sun and Moon Flutes together. As they do so, Nebby is drawn from Lillie's bag and evolves into SolgaleoS or LunalaM, which amazes Lillie, who had never read about their relationship to each other before. She requests for its help to save Lusamine in Ultra Space, where she is unfazed by Guzma's claims that Lusamine is beyond reason, and goes to confront her. She finally manages to stand up to her, despite being called ugly for leaving her and befriending the player. After the player defeats Lusamine, who has merged with Nihilego, she attempts to strike Lillie with one of her tentacles, but Lillie cries out to Nebby for help, who manages to separate Lusamine and Nihilego. Before losing consciousness, Lusamine asks Lillie when she started becoming more beautiful.

Upon returning to Alola, Nebby indicates its desire to join and travel with Lillie, who gently refuses as she is not a Pokémon Trainer. She suggests it join the player instead, who is required to catch it to proceed with the storyline. Lillie then leaves to take care of her mother, and until the player becomes Champion she is not seen, as she is busy caring for Lusamine in the Aether Paradise. She does tell Gladion, however, to tell the player that he/she is the "best trainer in the world". During the festivities in Iki Town, Lillie and the player quietly slip away to the Ruins of Conflict to give thanks to Tapu Koko; when they return, she tells the player that Lusamine is getting a bit better, and even wanted to join the party, and that she has been gently helping her understand what she has done. She also stops short of telling the player something seemingly important; this is revealed the next day by Hau, to be her departure for Kanto, where she plans to seek treatment for her mother and become a Trainer in her own right. She gives the player her old Poké Doll and says goodbye to them. She is not seen after this.

After Lillie has left, the player can read her diary in the loft of Professor Kukui's lab, as the lock has been pecked open by Murkrow. In it, Lillie writes that her flight from the Aether Paradise had been planned ahead, with only Wicke aware of it, and that Wicke had told her to look for Professor Burnet. She is seemingly turned off at Professor Kukui's habit of going around half-naked. She also notes that Alola does not have any Gym Leaders or — at that time, toward the start of the player's journey — an Elite Four. Wicke also tells the player, upon their return to the Aether Paradise, that the reason Lillie chose Kanto was to seek Bill, who, like Lusamine, has been combined with a Pokémon before, in the hopes that Lusamine would be healed of the last of Nihilego's poisons.

    -Bulbapedia

In Nights 1 and 2, Nebby is still a Cosmog, and because of its Teleport move, you are the Commuter. Any actions used on you at night will fail. From Day 3 to Day 5, Nebby is in its evolved form, Cosmoem, which is immobile, so you are the Vanilla. Your only power is your vote, so use it wisely. Finally, in Night 5, Cosmoem will evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala, which unlocks your abilities for the rest of the game. You can pick between:

Solgaleo: Because of your Full Metal Body Ability, you are Bulletproof and Poisonproof. Any attempts at your life, kill or poison, will fail (includes strongman attempts). This will stop being the case when you are the last town member alive.
Your signature attack is Sunsteel Strike, which is a 1x Strongman Vigilante. One night phase (from Night 5 onwards), you may select a player and kill them, nothing can stop that from occuring.
Lunala: Because of your Shadow Shield Ability, you are the Untargettable Bleeder. Any night actions except kills/poisons will fail. If you would be killed, you will survive for the next day phase before dying.
Your signature attack is Moongeist Beam, which is a 1x Strongman Vigilante. One night phase (from Night 5 onwards), you may select a player and kill them, nothing can stop that from occuring.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

    Day 3 Start

  • Gladion, Team Skull's enforcer, stormed in and found out that Lillie and Nebby were kidnapped. He became mad at Sun/Moon and Hau, challenging Sun/Moon to a battle:

"Did I hear that right? It was Lillie who took Cosmog?! And you all are so useless and weak that now Cosmog is... Lillie is...
Arghhh! I'll show you how angry you make me!"

The battle raged on, but Doctor Hoo was able to defeat Null with a powerful Z-Move. Gladion was defeated:

    "Hmph...How annoying.
That was wrong of me. I shouldn't have dragged you into a meaningless battle like that..."

    Dear jackatlasred, you are Gladion:
    150px-Sun_Moon_Gladion.png
Gladion appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon. He was originally a member of the Aether Foundation together with his mother, Lusamine, and his sister, Lillie. However, over time, he noticed his mother's obsession with the Ultra Beasts and realized that she would ruin Alola if she let Ultra Beasts into the region. For this reason, he decided to leave the foundation, only telling Wicke of his departure. Before leaving, he stole one of the three Type: Null created to be a weapon to attack Ultra Beasts.

Upon leaving the Aether Foundation, Gladion had two goals: to stop his mother and to free Type: Null from the helmet that was meant to subdue it. He eventually worked as an enforcer for Team Skull but was never considered an actual member of the team.

Gladion first meets the player on Route 5 as a Team Skull member, but he does not seem to be interested in Team Skull's affairs, unlike the Grunts near him. After his second battle with the player, he realizes the player might be able to help him stop Lusamine. After the third battle, he informs the player Team Skull is after Cosmog. Knowing now Team Skull is helping Lusamine get Cosmog back, he tells the player that they should make sure Cosmog is safe. When Lillie gets captured after the player defeats Guzma in Po Town, Gladion battles the player, and after getting his priorities straight, he takes the player and Hau to the Aether Paradise to face Lusamine and save both her and Lillie. Gladion is also encountered on the way to the newly-finished Pokémon League on Mount Lanakila. He thanks the player for stopping Lusamine and reveals he has removed his Type: Null from its restraint, evolving it into Silvally.

After the player has become the Champion of the Alola region, Gladion has taken over as acting president of the Aether Foundation while Lusamine is away. He may be spoken to at the Aether Paradise's conservatory, where he will give the player a Type: Null of their own.

Gladion is also one of the possible challengers who may appear at the Pokémon League as the player defends their title as Champion.

    -Bulbapedia

Because of looking allied with Team Skull, you are a Miller. Any copcheck on you will give a Team Skull result. Your partner Null, is a Beast Killer, so you are a 2x Vigilante. Twice during the game, in different night phases, you can select a person and attempt to kill them.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.
jackatlasred was killed. He was the Town Miller/2x Vigilante

It is now Day 3. It will last 48 hours unless HYPER-MAJORITY occurs.

Hellcrow VI (Rainbow Cloud, Lone_Garurumon, Rainsquid, WolfOwl, Doctor Floptopus, SwordMaster)
    Kyriaki III (Ereshkigal, Max1996, Elementar)

Gladion took Sun/Moon to the Malie City pier, where Kahuna Nanu challenged the latter to their grand trial. Upon clearing it and receiving their third stamp from Ula'ula Island, Gladion took them and Hau to Aether Paradise, convinced that Lillie and Nebby were there. Upon arrival they found out that the Foundation employees were hostile, considering them intruders. After clearing a path, they reached the deepest part of Aether Paradise, the mansion of the President and owner, Lusamine. Sun/Moon and Hau learned, to their shock, that Gladion and Lillie are Lusamine's children, and soon after she used Nebby to open Ultra Wormholes around Alola, with Nebby evolving into Cosmoem in the process.

In Akala Island, UB-03 Xurkitree, an Electric-type Ultra Beast resembling wires, emerged from the Ultra Wormhole, with Kahuna Olivia challenging it alongside the island's guardian, the Psychic/Fairy-type Land Spirit Tapu Lele. But they were unable to stop it from going on a rampage.

Dear Hellcrow, you are Akala Kahuna Olivia:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Olivia.png
Olivia (Japanese: ライチ Lychee) is a character introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. She is the Kahuna of Akala Island and a member of the AlolaElite Four. She specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. She grants the Akala stamp to Trainers who defeat her.

In addition to being Akala's Kahuna, Olivia owns a jewelry and accessory store in her hometown of Konikoni City. Despite being chosen as kahuna at such a young age, Olivia maintains that she is just an average girl. The player eventually battles her in the grand trial of the Akala island challenge.

Olivia is later revealed to be one of the Trainers Professor Kukui invited to act as the Elite Four of the Pokémon League of Alola.

At any night phase in the game, you may use jewels to unlock special powers. Each jewel can only be used once, and only one can be used per night:

Melemele Citrine (1x Roleblocker): Select a player and try to prevent them from acting for the night.
Ula'ula Ruby (1x Cop): Select a player and learn their alignment at the end of the night.
Poni Amethyst (1x Tracker): Select a player and learn who they targetted with their night action that night, if they have one.

As a result, you are the Jack-Of-All-Trades.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

  • In Melemele Island, UB-02 Buzzwole/Pheromosa, a Bug/Fighting-type Ultra Beast, emerged from another Ultra Wormhole, with Kahuna Hala challenging it alongside the island's guardian, the Electric/Fairy-type Land Spirit Tapu Koko. But they were unable to stop it from going on a rampage.

Dear Rainbow Cloud, you are Melemele Kahuna Hala:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Hala.png
As Kahuna of Melemele Island, Hala is considered one of the island's strongest trainers. Hau is his grandson.

Together with Professor Kukui, Hala gives the player and Hau their starter Pokémon. He later leads a ceremony celebrating the beginning of the player and Hau's careers as Pokémon Trainers. The player eventually battles him in the grand trial of the Melemele island challenge.

When Ultra Wormholes begin appearing across Alola, Hala encounters UB-02 AbsorptionS/BeautyM. Before he can send out a Pokémon to battle, Tapu Koko appears to battle the Ultra Beast. Hala agrees to work together with the guardian deity, and together, they fend off the intruder.

Hala is later revealed to be one of the Trainers Professor Kukui invited to act as the Elite Four of the Pokémon League of Alola.

The Battle Royale began in earnest. The Masked Royal sent out his Midday Form Lycanroc, two of the other participants sent their Pokemon out too and the last one, a world-known golfer, former island challenge champion and daughter of the Hano Grand Resort's owner, Kahili, sent out her Toucannon.

The Battle Royale ended exteremely quickly, with the Masked Royal's Lycanroc using Accelerock on Kahili's Toucannon, knocking it out with one attack. Masked Royal was declared the winner.

Soon after the battle the Masked Royal approached Kahili, who had only recently returned to Alola from abroad after a long while, and revealed his identity to her. He then made her a proposal for a certain vacant position, which she accepted.

Dear Doctor Floptopus, you are Elite Four Kahili:

    Day 5 start

  • UB-02 was still rampaging in Melemele Island, and Kahuna Hala could no longer stop it. The only Trial Captain of the island, Ilima, decided to take action with his Smeargle, but they were no match for the powerful Ultra Beast.

Dear HumanDawn, you are Trial Captain Ilima:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Ilima.png
He is a graduate of the Trainers' School on Route 1 and is admired as a hero by the students there. Some call him the "Prince of the Trainers' School". While he typically acts polite and dignified, he becomes a very different person in the midst of Pokémon battles.

The player first meets Ilima alongside Professor Kukui in the Trainers' School after defeating the Teacher there. He later appears at the Marina when two Team Skull Grunts disrupted his conversation with the player. After defeating the Grunts, he challenges the player to a battle.

Ilima later appears as the player's guide to their first trial in Verdant Cavern.

After completing his trial, the player can visit the second floor of his house in the Hau'oli City Shopping District, where Ilima is in his room. He says he is researching on Pokémon battling, and brings the player to the Trainers' School, where he battles the player.

According to his mother, Ilima studied abroad in Kalos's Lumiose City prior to the game's events.

    -Bulbapedia

Your favourite Pokemon and main battling partner is Smeargle. Smeargle has the unique move Sketch, which can only have 1 PP at a time. As a result, you are the 1x Sketch Artist. Once in the game, during the night phase, you may select a player and get three roles as results: One of these roles does not exist in the game. Another of these roles exists in the game but isn't the target's actual role. The last role is the target's actual role. The order the roles are shown is random.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.
HumanDawn died because of poison. He was Trial Captain Ilima, Town 1x Sketch Artist

In Ula'ula Island, UB-04, an Ultra Beast mostly made of steel, emerged from another Ultra Wormhole, with Kahuna Nanu challenging it alongside the island's guardian, the Grass/Fairy-type Land Spirit Tapu Bulu. But they were unable to stop it from going on a rampage.

Dear Lone_Garurumon, you are Ula'ula Kahuna Nanu:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Nanu.png
Nanu is a police officer who first shows up to aid the player in getting into Po Town. After Team Skull is defeated by the player, he reveals that he is the Kahuna of Ula'ula Island and challenges the player in Malie City for their island challenge grand trial. Upon defeat, he grants the player the Darkinium Z and wishes them well as they, along with Gladion and Hau, head to Aether Paradise to rescue Lillie.

Professor Kukui forms the Alola Pokémon League and Nanu is offered a position in the Alola Elite Four. He turns down the offer, stating that he has no obligation to join, unlike when the guardian deity chose him to become the Kahuna.

Nanu later provides information on sightings of the Ultra Beasts around Ula'ula. He is also revealed to be a former member of the International Police and Looker's former superior. His codename was 000. During his time with them, he is described as having been an elite officer, on par with Looker. Ten years prior to the events of Pokémon Sun and Moon, he participated in a three-person mission with Looker and an unnamed Faller to track down a Guzzlord, which ultimately cost the Faller her life. After this mission, he and Looker discovered Anabel on the shores of Poni Island

    -Bulbapedia

As a police officer, you are the Cop. Once per night phase, you may a select a player and find out their alignment at the end of the phase.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

    Night 5 start

  • DAY 5 VOTE COUNT - FINAL
Rainsquid VI (Max1996, WolfOwl, Ereshkigal, Elementar, Rainsquid, SwordMaster)

Back in Aether Paradise, soon after Lusamine opened the Ultra Wormholes, she ordered Team Skull's Boss, Guzma, to stop Sun/Moon and her children, while also sending out the Ultra Beast she caught, UB-01 Nihilego. Gladion, whose partner is Null the Beast Killer, faced the Ultra Beast. Sun/Moon faced Lusamine while Hau took Guzma.

Hau made quick work of Guzma, with his Alolan Raichu setting up Nasty Plot 3 times then sweeping through Guzma's team, despite its weakness to the Bug-type.

Dear Rainsquid, you are Team Skull Boss Guzma:
    150px-Sun_Moon_Guzma.png
Guzma first appears in Malie Garden, taunting Professor Kukui, calling both the professor and himself "fellow rejects who never could become captains." Guzma then criticizes Kukui's idea of building a Pokémon League for Alola; while he agrees that some parts of the island challenge are antiquated, he claims there's no need for a League, as he believes he's the strongest Trainer in the region. To solidify his position, his Grunts have been stealing every piece of Buginium Z across Alola simply to deny its use to other Trainers. When Kukui asks the player to battle Guzma, the boss takes notice of their Z-Ring, and asks why they're taking on the island challenge before immediately dismissing it and accepting Kukui's terms. The player wins, and Guzma leaves, saying he'll remember the encounter.

Later on, the player travels to Po Town to retrieve a Yungoos Team Skull stole from a child living at the Aether House. After getting past an army of Team Skull Grunts and infiltrating their headquarters, the Shady House, the player comes face-to-face with Guzma, who is holding the Yungoos in his personal quarters. He returns the Yungoos after losing to the player again, but vows that he will one day defeat them.

However, it is subsequently revealed that Team Skull's kidnapping of the Yungoos was a distraction meant to draw the player away from the Aether House so Plumeria could abduct Lillie. At this point, Gladion openly betrays Team Skull and recruits both the player and Hau for a mission to rescue Lillie from where Team Skull took her — Aether Paradise. As the player, Hau and Gladion fight through the Aether Foundation Employees who, along with Faba, are guarding Aether Paradise on Lusamine's orders, they discover a large group of Team Skull Grunts personally led by Guzma guarding the path to Lusamine's mansion, revealing that Lusamine has been secretly controlling Team Skull. Gladion rushes ahead to attempt to defeat Guzma and open the path for the player, but fails, leaving the player to battle Guzma one last time themselves. Guzma relents and allows the player to enter Lusamine's mansion after falling once more. A short while later, he rushes to Lusamine's side after she opens the Ultra Wormhole using Nebby's powers, unleashing Ultra Beasts all over Alola. Encouraging Lusamine to capture the Nihilego that appears in the room so it can be used to crush the player and their friends, Guzma ends up in a battle with Hau while Gladion tries to defeat Nihilego and the player fights Lusamine. Upon her defeat, the Ultra Wormhole and Nihilego begin to disappear. Unwilling to let her plans be thwarted, Lusamine enters the portal, taking Guzma with her.

Guzma is not seen again until after the player and Lillie have helped Nebby recover and evolve from Cosmoem into SolgaleoS/LunalaM. The legendary Pokémon transports the player and Lillie into Ultra Space, where they discover Guzma sitting alone, separated from Lusamine. He reveals that once they arrived in Ultra Space, he tried to capture a Nihilego of his own, only for it to use its parasitic powers to control him. Claiming that he has always lived his life making people afraid of him, Guzma admits that this experience has made him feel true fear for the first time, and warns the player and Lillie that they are stupid for coming to Ultra Space and tells them that Lusamine is too far gone into her insanity to be saved. He sits out and watches as the player battles Lusamine and subsequently separates her from the Nihilego she fused with using the aid of SolgaleoS/LunalaM and is saved from Ultra Space along with the others when SolgaleoS/LunalaM uses its powers to return them to the real world. Upon arrival, Hapu meets the group and has Guzma help her take away the unconscious Lusamine on her Mudsdale.

Once the player becomes Champion, it is revealed that Guzma disbanded Team Skull after returning from Ultra Space. To reflect this new start in life, he no longer wears his gold chain bearing Team Skull's insignia, paints a red X over the insignia on his coat, removes his Team Skull tattoos and changes his sunglasses to a symmetrical pair of round lenses. He can be found in his parents' home on Route 2, where he tells the player to meet him on Hau'oli City's beachfront. There, he expresses a continuing desire to finally defeat the player and challenges them once again. Upon his loss, Hala appears and tells him that he cannot win because he does not recognize his opponents' strength. Hala promises to make a fine trainer out of Guzma, and Guzma leaves after gifting the player his lucky charm, a Dawn Stone. In Moon only, he appears as a potential challenger and Multi Battle teammate at the Battle Tree. In Sun, this appearance is fulfilled by Plumeria instead.

Throughout the game, the player can discover hints about Guzma's past and motivations. He was once a prodigy who earned many trophies that are still on display in his parents' home, but his childhood is hinted to have been abusive; he eventually ran away from home after a violent confrontation with his father. Despite his best efforts, he was never able to live up to the standards necessary to become a captain before he grew too old. Becoming disillusioned due to this, he took on the leadership of Team Skull to fight back against Alola's traditions and assert his own strength. He ultimately fell under Lusamine's influence because she was the only adult who ever acknowledged his strength as a Trainer, inspiring his loyalty to her until the events in Ultra Space.

    -Bulbapedia

You are willing to stop anybody from reaching Aether President Lusamine. As a result, you are the Roleblocker. Once per night phase, you may a select a player and attempt to stop them from using their role. You have also stated that you are "destruction in human form". As a result, you are also the 1x Destruction Starter. Once in the game, during a night phase, you may activate this ability; the next day will have two lynches. Finally, since you are a strong man who does Luasmine's dirty work, you are the 1x Strongman. Once in the game, during a night phase, you can perform the factional kill which may bypass most forms of protection.

You are aligned with Team Skull and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

    Day 6 start

  • Guzma, UB-01 and Lusamine were all defeated. Lusamine returned UB-01 to its Beast Ball, then used the Ultra Wormhole to escape, with Guzma following. The crisis in Aether Paradise seemed over... for now. Everyone was tired and decided to take a good night's sleep, with Lillie picking the bed she would sleep with her mother when she was little.

The next day, Sun/Moon were ready and met up with Hau and Gladion in an outdoor area of Aether Paradise. Lillie soon showed up with a haircut, different hairstyle and clothes. She said that she wanted to change, now being more confident to stop her mother and her plans, in what she calls "her Z-Powered form". Hau decided to return to Melemele Island to train while Gladion used a boat to bring Sun/Moon and Lillie to Poni Island, giving his sister a Flute that is supposed to awake the Legendary Pokemon as well.

Soon after arriving in Poni Island's Seafolk Village, Lillie and Gladion exchanged some words over what they've been doing the past two years, before Gladion left for Aether Paradise. Sun/Moon and Lillie tried to reach the Poni Island Kahuna, but Hapu, the kind Trainer they've met earlier in their journey, told them that there's no such Kahuna in the Island, asking them to follow her to the Ruins of Hope.

When there, Hapu touched the sacred statues and the Island Guardian, the Water/Fairy-type Land Spirit Tapu Fini, appeared before her, giving her a blessing. She now was the new Poni Island Kahuna. As Kahuna now, she gave Sun/Moon and Lillie advice, to travel to Exeggutor Island and recover the counterpart Flute to the one Gladion gave to Lillie. They indeed went there with Sun/Moon getting the Flute.

Next up was the Vast Poni Canyon, where Kahuna Hapu was waiting for them at the entrance:

"I would like to see this battling skill of yours, Sun/Moon, that makes Lillie smile so. Just so! It is my grand trial! I may be young, but that does not mean that I will be outdone by any of those other kahunas! I am certain that my bonds with Mudsdale and the rest of my team are the closest you will find anywhere in Alola!
I am Kahuna Hapu! And I have made the sparkling stone that the tapu entrusted me with into a Z-Ring of my own! Having a Z-Ring like we do, <player>, means that we battle with the tapu beside us. This is the first grand trial of Kahuna Hapu! I will battle you with everything that I have got!""

Doctor Hoo made quick work of Hapu's Ground-type Pokemon.

"Oho... You sure showed me. That was enjoyable. Looks like I cannot beat you even when I am not holding back... I appreciate this chance, <player>. It has really taught me a few things. Take your Ground-type Z-Crystal then... This Groundium Z is yours!"

Dear WolfOwl, you are Poni Kahuna Hapu:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Hapu.png
Hapu (Japanese: ハプウ Hāpuʻu) is the Island Kahuna of Poni Island. She specializes in Ground-type Pokémon. She grants the Poni stamp to Trainers who defeat her.

Hapu first appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon on Route 6 confronting some Team Skull Grunts and asks the player to battle them.

After that she later appears on Ula'ula Island and gives the player the ability to ride on Mudsdale to traverse rocky terrain.

Finally she greets the player and Lillie when they arrive on her home of Poni Island where she lives with her grandmother. She travels with them to the Ruins of Hope in hopes of contacting Tapu Fini. Hapu is then chosen to be Island Kahuna by the guardian deity, succeeding her deceased grandfather, and receives a Sparkling Stone. Hapu then agrees to tell the player and Lillie all she knows about SolgaleoS/LunalaM, and directs them to Exeggutor Island to find the remaining flute.

As her first act as Kahuna, Hapu challenges the player to her grand trial within the Vast Poni Canyon.

Hapu can be battled again as a challenger in a Title Defense battle after becoming Champion.

    Kyriaki III (Elementar, Ereshkigal, Max1996)
    Elementar I (Kyriaki)

As Sun/Moon and Lillie were going through Vast Poni Canyon, trouble started brewing up in Aether Paradise once again. The Aether Branch Chief, Faba, started a rebellion and tried to take over the leadership of the Foundation in President Lusamine's absence from her son, Gladion.

Gladion and Faba started a fierce battle over the leadership of the Foundation. Faba's Psychic-types drove Gladion to a corner, and he was down to his last Pokemon, Null. But as if reacting to his feelings to restructure the Foundation and all the things he's done for it, Null smashed its restricting helmet and evolved into the powerful Silvally. Silvally then made quick work of Faba's remaining team.

After the battle, Faba was let to stay in the Foundation but was demoted to a regular member.

Dear Kyriaki, you are Aether Branch Chief Faba:
    100px-Sun_Moon_Faba.png
Faba appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon. He is identified by his signature sunglasses, and is very proud of his position in the Foundation. He sometimes refers to himself as Aether Paradise's last line of defense.

The player first meets Faba at Memorial Hill on their way to the Ruins of Life. Trying to get a Team Skull Grunt to stop harassing a Slowpoke, Faba asks for the player's assistance. After defeating the Grunt, Faba, thankful for the player's help invites them to visit the Hano Grand Resort after they finish their grand trial with Olivia. Upon arriving there, the Faba invites the player, along with Hau, to Aether Paradise.

Faba reappears to stop the player, Hau, and Gladion as they storm the foundation's headquarters for the kidnapped Lillie. Gladion demands that Faba tell him what the foundation is planning, but Faba refuses, taunting Gladion about his past, before battling the player. Faba is defeated and concedes, granting the player's group clearance to the second basement floor, where he claims they will find Cosmog. This, however, turns out to be a lie spun by Faba to give himself time to call in reinforcements and strengthen his Pokémon team. By the time the player's group attempts to head towards Lusamine's quarters, Faba has returned with three Aether Foundation Employees by his side. He reveals he has the key to the way forward in his hands, a plan which Hau calls into question, frustrating the chief. After defeating two of the employees alongside Gladion, the player has a Multi Battle with Faba and the remaining employee, with Hau as their partner. Defeated, Faba is forced to relent, and gives the keys to Hau, who unlocks the way forward.

After becoming Champion, it is revealed that Faba was demoted. Humbled by recent events, Faba is determined to become a new man by integrating himself with the rank and file. Faba requests another battle with the player, and upon defeat, gives the player a Dubious Disc. After that, he will linger in the lobby of Lusamine's mansion on Aether Paradise.

Faba is one of the possible Trainers who will challenge the player for the title of Champion.

Under the alias "F", Faba keeps a blog on which he posts comments about his job and his beliefs on various subjects. These posts can be viewed on the computer in Aether Paradise's Secret Lab A, where the Type: Null specimens were created. One reveals that he developed the Beast Balls after taking the project over from his predecessor. Another reveals that he designed the control mask technology that would later be used on Type: Null following the failure of the RKS System initialization tests, as a precaution in case such an event took place.

    -Bulbapedia

You tried to play a trick on the player character, Gladion and Hau in Aether Paradise, redirecting them to the wrong floor. As a result, you are the Redirector. Once per night phase, you can select a player and force them to target another player of your choosing with their night action(s), if they have those. You can also conduct research on behalf of your president, Lusamine. As a result, you are also the 1x Backup Rolecop. If Lusamine is eliminated from the game, you may use her Rolecop power yourself once. Finally, because of your knowledge under the technology Aether Paradise's jamming signal works on, you are the 1x Encryptor. Once in the game, in the night phase, you may use this ability to stop all outside communication except the mafia chat for the following day phase.

You are aligned with Team Skull and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

    Day 7 start

  • Night phase ends early because of locked actions.

The trek through Vast Poni Canyon was challenging. Lots of strong Trainers willing to battle, lots of strong Wild Pokemon, Trial Captain Mina (the only one in Poni Island, a Fairy-type specialist), and at the end of it all, a Captain-less trial led by the fearsome Totem Kommo-o! Doctor Hoo made nice work of it, though.

Sun/Moon and Lillie finally reached the Altar of the Sunne/Moone. They waited for the right moment, assumed the correct positions and played the Sun and Moon Flute in unison. The altar started shining in bright lights, and from Lillie's bag, Nebby the Cosmoem emerged, evolving into the legendary Pokemon Solgaleo/Lunala in the process!

The Legendary Pokemon opened an Ultra Wormhole and with Sun/Moon and Lillie riding it, they entered Ultra Space. Guzma was there, no longer working with Lusamine as he realized she's no longer about to listen to reason. They soon found Lusamine. Lillie tried to make her mother listen to reason, but it wouldn't work, so Lusamine sent out Nihilego, merged with it, and challenged Sun/Moon to a battle!

"<Player>! You hateful little Trainer! How dare you intrude upon this world that was meant for Nihilego and me? It is not to be borne! And with Nihilego’s power, I will show you how wrong you were to come here!"

This was Sun/Moon's most challenging battle to date, as Lusamine's Pokemon had stat boosts. Doctor Hoo, Washiwishi and the rest of Sun/Moon's Pokemon tried their hardest but were still defeated.

    Dear Elementar, you are Sun/Moon:

  • DAY 7 VOTE COUNT - FINAL

Moon Entity III (Max1996, Ereshkigal, SwordMaster)

    HYPER-MAJORITY has been achieved.

Lusamine was ready to jab Sun/Moon with one of Nihilego's tentacles, but before she could do so, the Legendary Pokemon used its signature move on her, splitting her from the Ultra Beast. She then said the following words to Lillie, before passing out:

    "Lillie...
    ... ... ...
    Heh...
    When did you...start becoming beautiful?"

Dear Moon Entity, you are Aether President Lusamine:
    150px-Sun_Moon_Lusamine.png
Lusamine appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon. She is first seen in a picture of a magazine that the player character is reading during the intro sequence. She is formally introduced after the Akala Grand Trial, when Hau and the player travel to Aether Paradise.

As president of the Aether Foundation, Lusamine claims to love all Pokémon, be they native to the Alola region or not. While the player and Hau are conversing with her in the conservation area, an Ultra Wormhole appears, in which Nihilego emerges. After the player fights it, she claims she will find it and love it like the other Pokémon in her care. Once Hau mentions Lillie, she gives a surprised expression and tries to not acknowledge her, foreshadowing the later events that would unfold.

Towards the end of the game, Plumeria remarks to Lillie that Team Skull are not the only thieves in Alola, and that Lillie ought to return Cosmog. When Hau, Gladion, and the player arrive at Aether Paradise, all the employees are suddenly hostile to them, including Faba, who had locked down Lusamine's office under her orders. There are also a number of Team Skull grunts present, implying an alliance.

When the player leaves Hau and Gladion to deal with Guzma, they find Lillie in the same room as Lusamine, with the former begging Lusamine to come to her senses. Lusamine is not fazed by it, and berates Lillie for leaving her and claims she was never her daughter, before teleporting into another room via a pad hidden behind her mirror. Lillie and the player step on the pad too, and teleport into the room her mother went to. When they arrive, Lusamine taunts them to come closer. Afterwards, Lillie and the player are horrified to see that she has a collection of frozen Pokémon scattered about the room, "protected" for all eternity.

Hau arrives, together with Gladion. Lusamine is disgusted by his arrival, as he had stolen Type: Null and ran away from her. He does not try to reason with her, deciding it is impossible at this point. Lusamine, frustrated, exclaims that she gave all her love to her children, only for them to run away. Cosmog is then revealed to be inside a cube, in which Lillie pleads her not to use its power, as it would die. Lusamine shows no care towards her statements, and uses the cube anyway, opening up a large wormhole in the room, and multiple others on the various islands of Alola. Guzma arrives, asking Lusamine whether the experiment was a success, and Nihilego materializes behind her as well. After being defeated by the player, Lusamine and Guzma jump into the wormhole and disappear with said portal alongside Nihilego.

She is later encountered in Ultra Space, where Guzma has given up working with her because of his newfound fear since Nihilego possessed him, and claims she is immune to reason at this point. Lillie disagrees, and runs off to confront her mother. When they arrive at an open terrace, she is nowhere to be found, only to phase into visibility and appear sitting on a rock in front of them. Lillie continues what she was saying to her mother back at Aether Paradise, along with trying to persuade her to come back to Alola.

Guzma turned out to be correct, as Lusamine says she would rather not come back to Alola, and that Lillie "could not even be that stupid". She boasts about how Ultra Space is beautiful, that Nihilego is all she cares about now, and that Lillie became ugly after leaving her and making friends with the player. Lusamine then turns her attention to the player, in which she immediately battles them, but not before merging with a Nihilego to become a pseudo-beast herself.

After losing, Lusamine becomes enraged and attempts to strike Lillie with one of many large tentacles she has control of. Lillie calls out to SolgaleoS/LunalaM, who proceeds to roar and emit energy at Lusamine, separating her from Nihilego. Before passing out, she asks Lillie when she started becoming beautiful. At the end of the game, Lillie tells the player she believes Lusamine is getting a bit better, having even tried to go to the player's celebration, and that she has been gently trying to help her mother understand the error of her ways. Lillie then leaves for the Kanto region to seek treatment for her mother from Bill (who, like Lusamine, has been combined with a Pokémon before) in the hopes that it will heal her of the last of Nihilego's poisons.

When spoken to after the victory celebration, Gladion speculates that Lusamine's fixation with the Ultra Beasts may have started when her husband (and Lillie and Gladion's father) Professor Mohn vanished during his study of the Ultra Wormholes and, in an ill-fated attempt to find him, she eventually grew obsessed with the Ultra Beasts to the point of monomania. Given Nihilego's parasitic nature and the mention of her being affected by its toxins, it may also be possible that Lusamine's obsession may have been influenced at least in part by Nihilego. Lillie's reminiscences on Exeggutor Island show that she recalls that her mother was once a kind and compassionate woman who genuinely cared for her children.

    -Bulbapedia

Because of your status as the Aether President, people are not suspicious of you. As a result, you are the Godmother. Any copchecks on you will give an Alolan Islanders result. You have also been conducting lots of research. As a result, you are also the Rolecop. Once per night phase, you may a select a player and attempt to learn their role. Finally, you have captured the Rock/Poison-type Ultra Beast Nihilego. As a result, you are the 1x Backup Poisoner. If Plumeria gets eliminated before using her ability or her ability fails, you may attempt to use it once again yourself.

You are aligned with Team Skull and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive, or nothing can prevent this from happening.
Moon Entity was lynched. He was Aether President Lusamine, Mafia Godmother + Rolecop + 1x Backup Poisoner

Back at the Altar of the Sunne/Moone, Hapu was waiting for everyone, and after Guzma carried Lusamine to put her on Hapu's Mudsdale, he and Hapu left for Aether Paradise. Lillie stayed behind to thank Sun/Moon for all they've done, even though they were defeated by Lusamine in the final battle. Nebby then expressed interest to keep travelling with Lillie, but as she was not a Trainer, she asked Sun/Moon to do so. Sun/Moon welcomed Nebby in their team by catching it immediately with a Quick Ball.

After this, Lillie left for Aether Paradise herself. Upon arriving there, Wicke welcomed her with open arms:

    Dear Max1996, you are Wicke:
    125px-Sun_Moon_Wicke.png
Wicke appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Her caring personality makes her popular among the Foundation's staff.

During the player's first visit to Aether Paradise, she takes the player and Hau on a tour of the facility. Before they leave, she gives Hau some malasadas and TM29 (Psychic) to the player.

Wicke is revealed to be one of the Foundation's employees who disagreed with Lusamine and her obsession with the Ultra Beasts, and the one who both Gladion and Lillie confided in before they ran away with a specimen of Type: Null and Cosmog, respectively. She is the one who subsequently refers Lillie to go to Professor Burnet to talk about Cosmog. To atone for the Foundation's contribution to the Ultra Beast crisis, she assists the International Police in their efforts to subdue or capture the creatures. She provides the player with Beast Balls to capture the wild Ultra Beasts with, and freely gives the player information on the Ultra Beasts that the player captures.

You are a very caring person, so you are the Doctor. Once per night phase, you may a select a player and attempt to protect them from kills and/or heal them from poison.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

Kahuna Nanu showed up at the Altar to tell Sun/Moon about the new Pokemon League and offer that they travel together to Tapu Village, the base of Mount Lanakila, where the League is located. Sun/Moon accepted. The next day after reaching the village, Sun/Moon was ready for the great ascent. Soon after starting, Gladion challenged them to a battle as a thanks for all they've done for his family. After a fierce battle, Doctor Hoo was able to knock out Silvally. Upon reaching the top, Hau showed up too, hoping to defeat them after his training, so he could challenge the League first, but he lost to Doctor Hoo as well.

He then entered the League. First were Kahuna Hala and Olivia, now also Elite Four members. Doctor Hoo was able to sweep their teams. Next up, in Kahuna Nanu's place, Elite Four Acerola was representing Ula'ula Island, but even she couldn't stand a chance against Doctor Hoo's power:

Dear Ereshkigal, you are Elite Four Acerola:
    200px-Sun_Moon_Acerola.png
Acerola is a friendly young girl who is the Captain of the trial of the Thrifty Megamart's abandoned site on Ula'ula Island. She is an orphan who lives at the Aether House, where she plays with the children and Pokémon that live there. Acerola is the last living member of an Alolan royal family.

Acerola first appears in Malie City's library, which her father owns, where she helps the player and Lillie find a book about Alolan Legendary Pokémon. Afterwards, she directs the player to their next trial on top of Mount Hokulani.

In her trial, Acerola asks the player to investigate the abandoned site, using their Poké Finder to take photos of the Ghost-type Pokémon making mischief there. At the end, they must defeat a powerful Totem Pokémon, a Mimikyu.

She later appears as a member of the Alola Elite Four, having taken on the position after Island Kahuna Nanu turned it down.

Because you are a Ghost-type Trainer, you are the Restless Spirit. You may keep posting in-thread after your death, however you can not vote or have outside communications.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

Elite Four Kahili wasn't particularly difficult to beat either, even though Doctor Hoo was at a disadvantage. Upon defeating her, thinking that they were Champion already, Sun/Moon proudly ascended to the top of the League building... but there was a surprise waiting for them! Professor Kukui himself, the creator of this League, wanted to test the first Champion! This battle was hard, but not as much as Lusamine. With help from Washiwishi against Kukui's Incineroar, as well as the Legendary Pokemon Nebby now in the team, Sun/Moon emerged victorious and became the first ever champion of Alola!

Dear SwordMaster, you are Professor Kukui:
    150px-Sun_Moon_Professor_Kukui.png
Professor Kukui is a passionate man who lives in the player's new hometown. His area of expertise is Pokémon moves, and is known to take direct hits from them if he thinks he can learn something about them. In his youth, Kukui participated in the island challenge with his childhood friend, Molayne. Afterwards, he traveled to Kanto, where he challenged the Indigo League and eventually made his way to the Indigo Plateau, but his Elite Four challenge ended after losing to Lance. It is unclear which iteration of the Indigo League he challenged. He is married to Professor Burnet.

Professor Kukui also frequents the Battle Royal Dome under the masked alias The Masked Royal (Japanese: ロイヤルマスク Royal Mask). As the Royal, Kukui invites the player, Hau, and Gladion to participate in a Battle Royal with him.

On top of Mount Hokulani, the professor directs the player's attention to the other mountain on Ula'ula Island, Mount Lanakila. It is here that Kukui plans to build Alola's own Pokémon League. Kukui believes that the time has come for Alola to make a name for itself in the world, and that establishing a Pokémon League will help achieve that. He then introduces the player to Molayne.

Later, after the trial of Hokulani Observatory, the player is asked by Molayne to return the Professor's Mask to Kukui, who is at Malie Garden. There, Kukui is confronted by the boss of Team Skull, Guzma. He calls both the professor and himself "fellow rejects who never could become captains." The boss then criticizes Kukui's idea of building a Pokémon League. Kukui then reveals he chose not to become a captain because he had other goals to pursue. Those goals are what lead him to build the League. The professor then asks the player to battle Guzma. The player wins, and Guzma leaves. Kukui thanks the player by giving them the Z-Crystal for the final evolution of the starter Pokémon they chose; Decidium Z, Incinium Z, Primarium Z for Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina, respectively. He also takes back the mask, while continuing to deny he is The Masked Royal.

Much later, the Professor greets the player at the gates to the now completed Pokémon League. Kukui welcomes the player, and if SolgaleoS/LunalaM is in their party, Kukui will share a few words with the Legendary Pokémon, as well. Once the player enters the League gates, Kukui explains how the Elite Four challenge works, and wishes the player luck.

Upon defeating all four members of the Elite Four, the player makes their way to the Champion's chamber and sits on the throne. However, Kukui approaches the player, saying they have one more challenge to complete before they can rightfully take their place as Champion. Professor Kukui challenges them to a battle for the Champion's throne, acting as the final battle of the player's Pokemon League challenge. He uses the final evolution of the starter the player's choice is weak to. After being defeated, Kukui congratulates the player, and names them the first ever Champion of the Alola Pokémon League, entering them in the Hall of Fame.

Kukui can be battled again as a challenger in a Title Defense battle, despite not wishing to be the Champion of a League that he created.

Because of your Masked Royal persona, you are the 1x 4-Player Gladiator. Once in the game, during the night phase, you can select 3 players; only you and any of those 3 may be lynched the following day.

You are aligned with the Alolan Islanders and win when all other factions are eliminated while at least one member of your own faction is alive.

After becoming Champion, Sun/Moon went back to Melemele Island's Iki Town, where a party was thrown for them. Lots of people they met over their journey gathered to congratulate them. Lillie then suggested that they go to the Ruins of Conflict to meet Tapu Koko, and Tapu Koko had a battle with the new Champion. The next day, Lillie sneakily attempted to leave Alola to go to Kanto by ship, so she could find a cure for her mother who still has Nihilego's toxins in her body, as well as make a new start for herself. Hau and Sun/Moon, alongside the Professor, managed to wave her goodbye at the last minute!

This was the end of a journey, but also a new beginning.
    THE END

    ENDGAME!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ALOLAN ISLANDERS FOR WINNING THE GAME!
